Bandung Car Rental to Kawah Putih

Bandung Car Rental

Approaching the day Raya Idul Fitri / Lebaran is where a long holiday / long weekend, many residents who berliburan to Bandung.

There are few places in Bandung holiday interesting enough from the factory outlets in addition to her famous, there are also tours to the White crater / Kawah Putih, to Mount Tangkuban Perahu and many more sights of interest.

To reach the resort, we can rent a vehicle that can hold 7 passengers such as the Toyota Kijang Innova or Toyota Avanza. For rental vehicles that you can contact the Speedtransports Rent a car in Bandung. Here his rental car cheap enough and is supported by the experienced driver so you can reach destinations safely, even if you do not know the way to the resort.

Rent a car in Bandung following a driver has several advantages, besides the driver who knew the roads to tourist attractions in Bandung and its surroundings, are also safer because the driver was used to dealing with road terrain is hilly enough to the tourist areas such as Tangkuban Perahu and White crater. For those not familiar with the field up the road and hilly it becomes quite dangerous. I hope for the travelers and traveller can enjoy the ride smooth and safe during the trip.

Guidelines For A Healthy Lifestyle

For years medical professionals have been claiming that what a person eats directly affects how long they will live. Those who incorporate natural foods that are low in fat into their diet are leading a much healthier lifestyle than someone who frequents a fast food restaurant.

People who live a healthy lifestyle sometimes need to give up convenience for the sake of eating healthier. This seems to be changing in recent years. Many fast food restaurants are recognizing this trend towards a healthy lifestyle and are now adding alternative food choices to their menus.

One of the drawbacks of many of the fast food chains is that the items are very high in fat. For a person struggling with their weight or watching their heart health it can be a challenge to find menu items that they can eat.

In recognition of the healthier lifestyle their customers want companies are now offering items like salads, yogurt and low fat muffins. For a parent taking their child to a burger and fries joint this now means that they won't have to forego their healthy lifestyle while they eat there. They can enjoy a salad with low calorie dressing while their youngsters enjoy what they like.

Diet is only one ingredient in living a healthy lifestyle. Another important component is exercise. Exercise plays an integral part in reaching and maintaining a healthy body weight.

Adding an exercise regime to your life is a great step towards a healthier lifestyle. Using this time to burn calories and build your muscles will ensure that your body is getting the movement it needs.

In today's busy world many people don't feel that they can live a healthy lifestyle. They complain that it takes too much time and energy. Another common complaint is that pursuing a healthy lifestyle is expensive. Adding fresh fruits, vegetables and fish to their lifestyle diet plan adds a cost that many people don't see the value in.

You don't have to join a gym to get exercise. If you tend to drive to the store and it's close enough to walk to, than choose the walk. This is an example of changing your lifestyle in a small way that actually will lead to big results.

Everyone can make some change in their lifestyle that will lead to healthier choices. Instead of picking up a bag of potato chips, eat an apple. When you are craving a candy bar, put on your walking shoes and take a stroll.

Perhaps the biggest benefit of living a healthy lifestyle is that you are teaching your children how to do the same. Children who are raised in an environment that encourages a healthy lifestyle will carry that through their adult lives.

Getting to Grips with a Healthy Lifestyle

In a perfect world we would all be eating the right food, exercising, sleeping well and just generally enjoying life.

In the real world most of us manage a percentage of the healthy lifestyle and muddle through as best we can with the rest of it. Part of the problem is we are encouraged to think, mostly by the media, that we should be doing everything possible towards a healthy lifestyle, all of the time. For most of us this is just not possible.

Constant concern about what we should or shouldn't be doing causes our stress levels to go up and that negates any good work that we've done. Yes, we should certainly try for a healthy lifestyle, but the two key words are "moderation" and "balance" By applying these criteria to achieving a healthy lifestyle we won't be beating ourselves up for failing another diet or dropping out of the latest exercise regime.

A common mistake that many people make when they decide to adopt a healthy lifestyle is to try to do too much too soon. They then give themselves a guilt complex when it all falls apart. It is also easy to be influenced by others, when we should only be adopting a healthy lifestyle plan to suit ourselves.

Ah! Did I say lifestyle plan? Do you have one, or do you just try the next thing that is in your magazine or Sunday supplement? By all means read these articles and take them into account as you plan how you want your healthy lifestyle to take shape.

Leading a healthy lifestyle doesn't mean you have got to run a mile before breakfast, eat seeds and think pure thoughts. Great if that's what you want, but for most of us "healthy" means being in reasonable shape, eating our fruit and vegetables and generally having a feeling of vitality.

Decide on your definition of a healthy lifestyle, and then plan a strategy that works for you.

As part of my health plan I decided I wanted to walk in the mornings before breakfast, but there was no way I wanted to get up at the crack of dawn to do it. So I planned a ten minute circuit that includes a short flight of steps and a not too steep incline. I power walked that route every day and felt really good. Sure l wouldn't make the City to Surf marathon, but I compromised and made it work for me.

Today, much is made of organic foods, but the reality is that organic food is generally more expensive and well out of the range for most budgets. Yes organic is probably the best option, but it doesn't mean that if you're not eating all organic you are not eating right. If you're concerned about general produce, be a bit discerning when you shop. Look for fruit and vegetables that are fresh and unblemished. You should also buy product brands that you can trust. If you shop wisely, you can have a well-balanced healthy diet that won't break the bank.

Basically living a healthy life means looking at your lifestyle as a whole, it is not just about diet and exercise. It is not always necessary to make major changes. Most people know their weak spots, and are happy if they can make a few changes that show results.

A friend of mine was drinking several cans of soft drink a day. She was feeling tired and generally under the weather. When I read an article about the health risk of soft drink I copied it and gave it to her, whereupon she decided to give up the soft drink there and then. A week later she got back to me and said she couldn't believe the difference, her energy levels were up and she was feeling great. Just that one change was able to make a difference and she feels good about the healthy choice.

Sleep and leisure time play a big part in a healthy lifestyle, and for the most part people underestimate the value of good sleep. Our bodies aren't designed to operate at peak performance twenty four hours a day. Anyone in industry knows that machines that have to work continuously need a lot of maintenance. When we are sleeping our body is healing and regenerating itself and we should wake up feeling refreshed and revitalized.

We can go without sleep for extended periods, but we can't do it indefinitely. The amount of sleep an individual needs varies a great deal, and there is no such thing as the right time to sleep. Obviously most people sleep at night, but if you are one of those folk that comes alive in the small hours, you might need to catch up with your sleep during the day.

A big part of healthy living is being comfortable with yourself. Don't be pressured into trying to attain a certain look, or push yourself down a career path you are not suited to. Constant worry about what you are doing will only have the opposite effect on your health. Don't get paranoid about your diet, about what toothpaste you should use or about expensive exercise equipment you need to buy.

Allow a common sense approach to dictate when you are making lifestyle choices, and remember, there is nothing wrong with compromise if it means your healthy lifestyle plan will work for you.

I strongly recommend starting your own online campaign and concentrate purely on being an affiliate and selling other someone else products, because believe me it is much easier to advertise for some other product that already established itself and is well known and just receive commission for your efforts which is in fact generally pretty good one, or start from scratch and develop your own product or service that generally takes forever and costs a lot of money! I recommend affiliate marketing as an online income stream because you can get started right away and receive first payments within a week! Learn How To Build Your Lifestyle To Work From Home

Lifestyle is a way of way of life or style of living that reflects the attitudes and values of a person or group. Lifestyle generally means a pattern of individual practices and personal behavior and related to elevated or reduced health risk. In sociology, lifestyle means the way of a person lives. A lifestyle also reflects an individuals attitudes, values and worldwide. In day to day life, lifestyle has become blurred in among modern society.

A lifestyle is a characteristic bundle of behaviors that makes sense to both others and oneself in a given time and place, including social relations, consumption, entertainment, and dress. Lifestyle is a mixture of habits, conventional ways of doing things, and reasoned actions. Lifestyle was originally discovered by Austrian psychologist.

A lifestyle is a characteristic bundle of behaviors that makes sense to both others and oneself in a given time and place, including social relations, consumption, entertainment, and dress. A lifestyle typically also reflects an individual's attitudes, values or worldwide. The lines between personal identity and the everyday doings that signal a particular lifestyle become blurred in modern society.

When lifestyle became popular a generation ago, a number of critics objected to it as voguish and superficial, perhaps because it appeared to elevate habits of consumption, dress, and recreation to categories in a system of social classification. Nonetheless, the word has proved durable and useful, if only because such categories do in fact figure importantly in the schemes that Americans commonly invoke when explaining social values and behavior.

Lifestyles are subject to change by the demands of marketing and technological innovation now a day. Advertisers and marketers provide target and match consumer aspirations with products, or to create aspirations relevant to new products for lifestyle.

Lifestyle

The term lifestyle was originally coined by Austrian psychologist Alfred Adler in 1929. The current broader sense of the word dates from 1961. In sociology, a lifestyle is the way a person lives. A lifestyle is a characteristic bundle of behaviors that makes sense to both others and oneself in a given time and place, including social relations, consumption, entertainment, and dress. The behaviors and practices within lifestyles are a mixture of habits, conventional ways of doing things, and reasoned actions. A lifestyle typically also reflects an individual's attitudes, values or worldview.

Having a specific "lifestyle" means engaging in a characteristic bundle of behaviors that makes sense to both others and the self in different times and places. Therefore, a lifestyle can be used to forge a sense of self identity and to create cultural symbols for the way a person is. The behaviors and practices within lifestyles are a mixture of habits, conventional ways of doing things, and reasoned actions.

As a Lifestyles Independent Distributor, you are a self-employed businessperson, working with Lifestyles but not for Lifestyles. Indian lifestyles clearly glorify the geography. The food, clothing and habits of an Indian differ in accordance to the place of origin.

UTI India Lifestyle Fund (UTI-ILF) is a 3-Yr close-ended fund with an automatic conversion into an open-ended scheme at the end of the stipulated tenure. The fund seeks to capitalise on the opportunities emerging from the changing Indian demographics, lifestyles and rising consumption pattern. By limiting itself to lifestyle-related sectors, the fund stands to lose out on investment opportunities in other sectors/themes like infrastructure, banking, finance (particularly industrial finance) and software. Although, the fund does have a provision to invest a portion of assets in such sectors, the bulk of its investments will be in lifestyle-related sectors.

In public health, "lifestyle" generally means a pattern of individual practices and personal behavioral choices that are related to elevated or reduced health risk. Since the mid-1970s, there has been a growing recognition of the significant contribution of personal behavior choices to health risk—in the United States thirty-eight percent of deaths in 1990 were attributed to tobacco, diet and activity patterns, and alcohol. Equally important, illnesses attributable to lifestyle choices play a role in reducing health-related quality of life and in creating health disparities among different segments of the population.

Learn Good Habits to Promote Weight Loss by Making 5 Easy Lifestyle Changes

Good habits are necessary for good health and promoting weight loss. Good health is a product of preventing illness while providing the body with proper nutrition, exercise and sleep that relieves any increase of potential stress. Illness prevention can be accomplished by simply making a few lifestyle changes.

There are 5 easy lifestyle changes that promote good habits for weight loss.

1. One of the most important habits is to develop good eating habits. Developing good eating habits helps the body to run smoothly and efficiently. Without proper nutrition the body will run sluggish and cause feelings of being tired. Proper nutrition is achieved by eating plenty of whole grains, fruits, vegetables and lean meats. Improper nutrition that can be found from foods with high saturated fats and excess sugar are not good habits for weight loss.
2. Drinking plenty of water is necessary and is therefore a good habit to have every day. The body requires at least 64 ounces of water every day to run smoothly and efficiently. Without enough water, the body will run sluggish and the functions such as processing waste will not be as effective.
3. Sufficient amounts of sleep every night is required. On average the body needs about 8 hours of routine and restful sleep every night.
4. Plan ahead to get ahead. Before going to bed every night, it is a good idea to plan the next activities for the next day to ensure that all tasks are completed timely and not causing excess stress to the body.
5. Use exercise to relieve stress and anxiety. Exercise makes the body run more efficiently and aids in good sleep. Exercising at least 3 times every week will help promote a more active and healthy lifestyle.

There are several ways to improve your health. Implementing good habits such as eating properly, drinking plenty of water, receiving plenty of quality sleep, planning ahead to relieve potential stress and using exercise to increase metabolism are all good habits to make part of every day and promote weight loss.

Maintaining a Healthy Eating Lifestyle

Many people have a bad addiction to things like sugar, or even worse, artificial sugar (such as high fructose corn syrup). This can come from an addiction to something like caffeine. You can replace foods that are high in sugar with fresh fruit. As for beverages, you can replace fizzy drinks for other soft drinks that are low in sugar. You'll still love the flavor, whilst removing the bad side effects associated with these types of food and drink.

Dealing with your appetite will be a big issue, since in the past you would have been accustomed to eating whatever you want, but being discipline and following a meal plan can help. If you begin to feel hungry, eat something. Just ensure you eat good healthy foods and don't eat too much of it. It's important that you eat enough to curb your hunger and balance your blood sugar levels. The objective is for you to lose weight, so you'll only be moving backwards if you eat bad food.

It doesn't seem right when you've eaten your breakfast and you find yourself still feeling extremely hungry as the day goes on. But eating more in the morning does help cut down hunger for the rest of the day, and when night draws in people are much more likely to crave food and eat too much. Eating a substantial healthy breakfast in the morning will do you more good than you'd think.

It's going to be important that you focus on maintaining a healthy eating habit, and not secretly binging on foods high in fat and sugar. By doing this you are only fooling yourself and harming your body. Keep in mind the goal is to have yourself not necessarily on a diet, but with a meal plan that you can actually sustain for the rest of your life.

Top Ten List to Have a Healthy Lifestyle

Fresh air, sunshine, healthy food and water are the essential things that we need in order to live a healthy lifestyle. So I have list top 10 things to achieve a healthy lifestyle.

1. FRESH AIR - Oxygen, feeds, nourishes us. Make our lives count for the future and our blue-green Planet's pure air. Walk gently, breathe in now, full, deep, strong, long. Breath in fully to get oxygen, nourish and cleanse. Exhale long and deep, let go of toxins, old emotions, and all being held onto. Let go. Let go... Fear slows the breath. Renew commitment to inhale deeply, exhale long. Hold. Do it again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again...

2. SUNSHINE - Plants take in sunlight and so do we. Get outdoors, take off glasses, don't overdo it. Call it Yummy - when it's Sunny - smile, play and dance in the light... Sunshine's full spectrum of natural daylight stimulates our pineal and pituitary glands to rev up the metabolism, makes it churn and burn. Did someone convince us sunshine is dangerous? Even shady, full spectrum natural daylight helps us be healthy and vibrant; go - no glasses, outdoors.

3. WATER - Drink in the cleanest, most alive water you can find. (Would you take a bath in fruit juice, soda or beer? Yukk!) Carry your own bottle! Fill. Drink. Repeat. Would you take a bath in diet soda? Hope not. Cells love water; like a flooding stream, it carries the silt out to the sea. Get your own bottle! We're 78% water. Wow. You'd think water needs to refresh itself at a cellular level pretty darn often. Get your own bottle. Cleanse, refresh.

4. MOVEMENT - Life is Movement / Movement is Life. Dance, sing, play, walk, run, skip, ride, hike, ski, sail... how many more can you think of??? Being sedentary is like inertia. Hard to get going again, but once you do, don't stop. Find a way to move: walk the dog, stretch, dance, play catch... It can be gentle and slow or it can be fast and quick. The body needs movement to circulate its life force, to get out the toxins, to assimilate.

5. PREDOMINANTLY VEGAN DIET - We do not have carnivore teeth. Our long intestinal loves fibrous plant food; be lean and nourished into good health with *vegan foods, grow younger. Our digestive system was made for high fiber fruits, vegetables and grains. Once we clean out the residue from old habits, our tastes change. To his great surprise, Dr. Max Gerson, while pursuing a cure for migraines in the 1950s, discovered that a mostly vegan diet cured cancer!

6. EAT AT LEAST 50% LIVING, RAW FOOD - Turn your yard into a garden -grow non-gmo seeds, buy organic, safely pick wild, sprout. Know where your food comes from - be a thriver, not just a survivor! First 7 days sprouted foods have more enzymes and life force than anything else. You'll be amazed at how good eating them makes you feel! Living foods are different than raw foods. For instance lettuce is a mature raw food. Sprouted seeds are living. Eat 'em both for Life!

7. ORGANIC WHOLE FOODS - Clear your grocery list of all but Whole foods. How much is left? "No whites" is a good start; whole means NO processing. Get really radical, go "cold turkey"! Whole means just like it grew or is growing. Organic means no pesticides and living soil. Hunger disappears when we eat food w/real nutrient value. Every time food gets processed it loses something: vitamins, minerals, life force. If you want to get really radical go organic/natural- feel the difference!

8. LIMIT ANIMAL PROTEIN TO 7% MAX - The landmark book, China Study shows ALL, ALL Degenerative Conditions are either Eliminated or Reversed with a maximum of 7% animal foods in the diet. For 35 yr. China Study found elimination and reversal of every degenerative condition (including obesity) with a veggie diet max 7% animal food. The China Study concluded all degenerative conditions could either be eliminated or reversed with a maximum of 7% animal protein in the diet.

9. MODERATION - EAT SMALL QUANTITIES - We live in an age of "too much". Learn to love being hungry and have less: 3 small meals/day, 5 hrs. between, 12 hrs. empty at night, body purrz... Let the body know we're not in starvation: eat 3 moderate meals/day with 5 hrs. between.; 12 hrs. empty stomach at night; green shake for Breakfast. Mastering Leptin tells us there's a chronic state of inflammation in the body when we overeat; eat small - rest between, to gradually shift this.

10. MORE GRATITUDE / LESS ATTITUDE - These things initiate healing at the deepest levels of our being, and radiate forth into the world as our "radio signal". Know our creative power. Emotions generate the energy surrounding and coming to us. Love yourself just as you are. Soon everything will melt away, but love. Get help to release old emotions conscious and otherwise. Trust yourself to find Love in all things, to be fully evolving towards Wholeness.

"The curse causeless shall not come." Proverbs 26:2

An Affordable Lift For Your Face - A Lifestyle Lift

Do you know someone that has had plastic surgery? How about a someone that has had a facelift, breast augmentation or a lifestyle lift? Odds are increasing all the time that you will as the popularity for plastic surgery continues to rise. Have you ever seen the show on FX called Nip/Tuck? How about the Extreme Makeover show? It's constantly in the entertainment news and on TV shows. Plastic surgery is all the rage and giving your face a little nip here and slight tuck there is usually at the top of the list. Facelifts were at one time the top requests for plastic surgeons all over the country. At least for those people in the financial demographic that could afford it. They are one of the more expensive procedures if you have never priced them before.

Thankfully for the other half of the people that are not fortunate enough to be in the higher income bracket. The popularity of the lifestyle lift and the plastic surgeons performing them is on the rise very quickly and the main reasons for that are two fold.

The first reason for the popularity of the lifestyle lift procedure is the cost. The average cost for the lifestyle lift is starting around $3500 with a high range around $5000. Still a lot of money in this economy but when compared to the average cost of a full on face lift you are looking at about half the price. Half off a plastic surgery with the same results has gotten lifestyle lifts a lot of attention and new customers for the plastic surgeons that can do the lifestyle lift procedure.

The second reason the lifestyle lifts popularity is so high is the actual lifestyle lift procedure itself. Unlike a face lift in which case you have a hospital stay with a full surgical team and weeks of recovery time. A lifestyle lift procedure can be done as an office visit with an average recovery time of about a week depending on the patient.

Now those are only two reasons that were listed here for getting a lifestyle lift instead of a full face lift. Honestly though what other reason could you possibly need? It's cheaper, less invasive and the healing time for a lifestyle lift is a fraction of that of a facelift.

4 Essential Strategies For Lean Body Development! Lifestyle, Exercise, Attitude and Nutrition

Okay,

So you want to get lean, but you're confused about what you need to do in order to develop a lean body. Well here's an acronym I like to use for the word 'LEAN' that you'll find very useful and easy to remember.

L - is for Lifestyle
E - is for Exercise
A - is for Attitude
N - is for Nutrition

Lifestyle must be addressed. It's not just about exercise and nutrition. Time management, stress reduction, quality sleep and sleep patterns all play a vital role.

Exercise is an obvious one. One thing you MUST realise is that you need to stop 'Working Out' and start 'training', as there is a big difference between the two. People who train do so with a true purpose, a detailed plan and they know what they want and how to go about achieving it.

Attitude is crucial. You must develop a success-orientated attitude. Failure or quitting is not an option. Become selfish (this ironically isn't a selfish thing to do) and focus on yourself and what you want to achieve. Put you first and work on achieving the lean body you want.

Nutrition is another obvious one. However, don't think that you need to start eating like a rabbit and starve yourself in order to achieve the body you want. Seek out advice from people in the know and follow their guidance. Practice SMART nutritional practices and as I like to say...

'Eat Clean, If You Want To Get Lean'

If you put 'LEAN' (Lifestyle-Exercise-Attitude-Nutrition) into practice, then what you practice will be guaranteed to make you lean but you must consistently put this into practice.

You have to continually apply yourself and you have to be consistent with your training and your nutritional plan. Applying yourself Monday through Friday and then having a free for all on the weekends is not going to get you anywhere close to developing a lean body! You must avoid what I like to call 'weekend distasters'.

The more serious you approach developing a lean body, and the more serious you are in applying yourself, then the better your results will be! It's a simple formula...

Serious Attitude + Serious Application = Serious results!!!

Okay, I better stop my rant now. Hope you enjoyed this tad bit of information and hopefully you can draw something from it as you set out to develop a lean or leaner body!

How to Pick a Cruise - Cruise Lines That Match Your Lifestyle

There may be an element of danger when embarking on a cruise. Cruisers BEWARE; you may find that certain side-effects are difficult to overcome - especially feelings of elation, enjoyment, relaxation, rejuvenation, and a renewed sense of adventure.

You may find yourself addicted to the cruise experience and spend your free hours planning where to sail next. You also might find yourself booking longer cruise durations as the previous tour seemed just too short.

You also might find that you would like to experience a different kind of cruise. Let's say you took the entire family on a cruise and, though you had a blast, you found yourself imagining what a cruise would be like with your sweetheart as your only companion. Or, you may find that the cruise was not adventurous enough, so a more active tour would satisfy your interest.

If you don't know about the specialty cruises available, this is the article for you. There are as many different kind of cruise experiences as there are cruise ships available as there are places to visit around the world. You might need to be selective about your cruises, unless you are a travel agent or a referring travel associate who get great deals on vacations and can go on as many as you wish. So, let's just focus on different kind of cruises and who offers them.

If you are looking to be amongst a younger crowd, singles, and families, your best bet would be to book with larger cruise ships. This is particularly enticing to families. What better way to spend a vacation than on a ship full of activities catering to all age-groups? Even the surely teenager will find something to bring him out of his self-absorbed shell. Be sure to ask your particular cruise ship what is offered to make sure it fits what you are looking for. Cruise lines that cater to this crowd include (but not limited to) Carnival Cruise Lines fun ships, Disney Cruise Lines, Norwegian Cruise lines, and Royal Caribbean. These tend to be a little more economical, though the guest list tends to number well over 2,000. If you like the electricity the crowds create and an endless choice of on-board activities, this would be a good match for you.

If you are looking for something a little more refined, you can expect to pay more, but the service, food, and cabins tend to be better. Whether you want a romantic cruise to reaffirm your devotion to your companion, or looking for a little more elegance in a cultured crowd, look for Celebrity Cruises (owned by Royal Caribbean), Cunard Line, and Princess Cruises.

If you're a senior and would like to associate with others your age, Holland America has a more vintage feel than most. Or, if you would like something even more upscale with fewer passengers (under a thousand) and a little more pampering, try Crystal Cruises, Regent Seven Seas, Seabourn Cruise Line, and Sliversea Cruises.

What if you are more the adventurous type and want your cruise to have more of an "exploring" feel to it? With 500 or less passengers, you can expect to pay a premium price, but the more naturalistic feel is worth every penny. This also means that dress codes may be more relaxed, as well. Cruise West visits Alaska, Baja Mexico, Costa Rica, and Panama. Lindblad Expeditions explore Antarctica, Arctic Norway, Central America, Galapagos Islands, Alaska, Baja California, the Caribbean, and Europe. Windstar Cruises feature more yacht-style cruising, touring the Americas, the Caribbean, and the Mediterranean. Peter Deilmann Cruises visits the Americas, Africa, Europe - including Arctic Europe, Mediterranean, Middle East, Baltic Sea, and the list goes on. Swan Hellenic focuses on the Eastern hemisphere with a strong presence in: Europe-including passage through the Baltic Sea to Russia, Africa (more tours than you could take in a life-time), and even Antarctica.

I know there are dozens more tours out there, not including every privately chartered vessel, but this will get you on the right track to help you not only discover what cruise experience you like best, but to also help you on your quest for self-discovery. Is that not the "soul" reason why we travel?

At the same time as diet and lifestyle have been related with the danger of getting breast cancer, not much is recognized regarding the effect of diet and lifestyle on breast cancer survival. Comprehending the effects of diet and lifestyle on breast cancer survival is significant to survivors of breast cancer who wish for making options to expand the time-span and condition of their lives. Very little is recognized regarding the effects of diet and lifestyle subsequent to diagnosis on breast cancer survival. Nevertheless, the outcomes of studies observing these effects are hopeful even though still beginning.

Surveys of survival from breast cancer have observed diet and lifestyle both prior to and subsequent to diagnosis. The inspection of diet and lifestyle prior to diagnosis could give report concerning the possible result of treatment and probably the biology of cancer shape. Nevertheless inspection of diet and lifestyle subsequent to diagnosis has the different benefit that it appraises conducts that could be altered once a woman discovers she suffer cancer.

An assertion that a dairy-free diet may put off breast cancer has been argued by a foremost charitable trust. The assertion is concluded in a new-fangled book, "Your Life in Your Hands" by Professor June Plant. She states that excluding dairy products from the diet could treat and prevent breast cancer. She is chief scientist at the British Geological Survey who contracted breast cancer in 1987. Professor Plant had five recurrences of the disease, which, by 1993, had spread to her lymph system. She eventually defeated the disease by combining traditional medicine with easy lifestyle changes, including the implementation of a dairy-free diet.

Expectations that a diet low in fat and chock-full of fruits and vegetables might put off the arrival of breast cancer were rushed Tuesday by a large, seven-year trial in over 3,000 women. The government review noticed no advantage from a mega-veggies-and-fruit diet over the U.S. suggested servings of five fruits and vegetables a day, more than for the most part Americans obtain. None of the breast cancer survivors lost weight on either diet as noticed by examiners. That led a number of professionals to propose that weight loss and exercise must be the next border for cancer prevention examination.

Design Your Lifestyle - How Lifestyle Design Works and What Steps to Take

Who wouldn't want a lifestyle where they did what they wanted, when they wanted? I embraced lifestyle designing and I am enjoying my life now even more.

What is lifestyle design? Well, simply put, you plan out how your lifestyle goes, where you want to live, what you want to do, how you work. Without restrictions, without limitations. You work remotely and just work when you feel like it.

Maybe you felt like going to Tokyo and staying there for half a year. Maybe you wanted to meet new people, experience the culture and learn Kanji all the while working like you were still back home. Can you see it? I hope you can because people have been doing this for quite a while now.

There are 5 Stages Of Lifestyle Design. I tweaked Timothy Ferriss' stages to fit what I experienced in my life. Feel free to check out his book The Four Hour Work Week.

1. Definition
I also call this as the Recalibrate/Recalibration stage. This is where you set your priorities, define your goals clearly and figure out how you will design your life.

2. Elimination
In order to have more time to do your priorities, to reach your goals, you need to eliminate the Time Wasters. The redundant errands you run, the phone calls you shouldn't be wasting your time on or even the needless surfing on the internet for things you don't really need. Eliminate to attain more.

3. Creation
To be free, you need a constant source of income, money. You need a business and you have to start it fast. The online world is huge and opportunities are plenty. Start your own business online fit for your lifestlye.

4. Automation
To be be free from your business, you need to systemize how you run your business. You have to be able to work from anywhere. You do not have to be the clog, the decision maker for everything. You have to outsource because you cannot do everything by yourself. Automate your business and see the difference of looking from the outside rather than from the inside.

5. Freedom
This is where you and a billion other people want to be. They just don't know how to but now you do. Live your life to the fullest. Give back to the community. Live in Spain. Work at the cafe in Beijing. Party until dawn in the beaches of the Philippines. Whatever you want, wherever you want, however you want. That is lifestyle design at it's best.

Are you really going to spend the rest of your life toughing it out, just to stick with your job which you really hate or are you going to do something about it?

To progress in life, you need to keep learning new things, embrace change and take massive action. Take the first step now to your new life!

Alpaca Farming - A Profitable Rural Lifestyle

Alpacas have been raised as domesticated animals in Peru for over 6,000 years. Their fine fleece is valued for its non-allergenic qualities as well as being warmer and stronger than wool. Products made from alpaca fiber have been sought after in Europe for over 200 years. Old wills often contain bequests such as "...my Alpaca coat to my son..."

But in today's alpaca farming industry, the fleece is a by-product; the main attraction for raising alpacas in North America is their investment value.

These are some of the main advantages to investing in alpacas:

1) Their value has been maintained for more than 20 years, primarily due to the closing of the official register to further imports. This ensures that the market cannot become saturated and can only grow at the natural rate of reproduction.

2) The quantity of fleece needed to justify commercial production of the fleece on a large scale would need about 1 million alpacas - of the same color! With a current total US population of around 120,000, that gives many years of growth ahead.

3) There are major tax benefits available to alpaca farmers. Not only with the depreciation allowances but also in reducing local taxes as the alpaca ranch will qualify the property for agricultural usage.

4) Alpacas are "easy keepers". They require little attention other than feeding with hay, providing fresh water, and a monthly worming treatment. These qualities make them attractive to baby boomers looking to retire to the country, and wanting to do something that is profitable but not too demanding of time and effort.

5) They are environmentally friendly: their padded feet are easy on the ground and they don't pull out the grass by the roots, unlike some other ruminants, but graze it close. This encourages further growth.

6) Their wool is highly valued by hand-spinners, providing a local market for the raw fleece. This can offset most, if not all, of the maintenance costs of the animals themselves.

Alpaca farmers come from all kinds of backgrounds and age groups. The majority of people starting alpaca farms don't have any previous livestock experience, and quite often have never looked after anything more demanding than a cat or dog! That is no barrier to success. Alpacas are so easy to look after that anyone can quickly learn the few essentials and develop their farm from there.

For those people who want to be involved with alpacas but don't want even the minimal work involved, it is possible to buy the animals and have them looked after by another farm - usually the one from whom you bought them. It is still possible to get many of the tax benefits in this way, and of course, you still get the appreciation in value.

For more details, and a free 30-page report on "Raising and Marketing Alpacas" visit our website at Alpaca Advantage. Chris Lewis, of Alpaca Advantage, has been raising and selling alpacas for more than 10 years. His farm is in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Northern Virginia

Nutrition and Lifestyle - Especially As Related to the High Incidence of Strokes

Life for most of us is not easy. Perhaps few of us are able to enjoy living when "the going is tough". Though 80 years old, blind, and in a wheelchair or bed, my wife Jean is an inspiration to all of us at home and at church. She seldom gets to go anywhere else. Her joy comes from the wonder of forgiveness and the assurance of a wonderful destiny bestowed upon her by Jesus Christ. It is also amazing to observe her phenomenal memory of Bible verses, though she has not been able to read since her massive stroke on July 4, 2004.

Of course, most people who are blind and unable to walk or use both hands are not content like Jean. Would it be far better to avoid a stroke than to live a lifestyle that could precipitate one? If we had known before Jean's stroke what we know now, we may have possibly prevented it and even be healthier than we are now.

Since stroke is the #3 cause of death and a leading cause of long-term disability in the USA, an extremely high percentage of Americans will have one or more strokes. Could that many strokes, other cardiovascular deaths, and handicaps possibly be a result of American lifestyle patterns? Is your lifestyle setting the stage for a devastating experience like Jean's? Do you realize how quickly you need to take action if possible stroke symptoms appear? I wish I had known the warning signs. Jean's strokes likely could have been prevented.

• Sudden weakness or numbness of the face, arm or leg, especially on one side of the body.
• Sudden confusion, trouble speaking or understanding.
• Sudden trouble seeing in one or both eyes.
• Sudden trouble walking, dizziness, loss of balance, or coordination.
• Sudden severe headaches with no known cause
(If you notice one or more of these warning signs, don't wait, call 911 immediately!)

So, is your lifestyle different from the average American? If it is not, are you prepared for the worst? Do you damage yourself with alcohol, smoke, sugar, white flour, lack of exercise, a diet of "dead" food, lack of rest before midnight, big evening meals, lack of water, synthetic supplements, genetically modified foods, toxic cleaning products, wrong priorities, processed foods, etc?

There is so much to learn! Did you know that oxygen is the most important food? Do you know that we need about 1 ounce of water for each 2 pounds of weight?

Some doctors say that aspartame and MSG (the food additive monosodium glutamate or hydrolyzed protein) in drinks and food contribute to Alzheimer's and seizures. How important is that to you?

How important is your spiritual health? If you died today, would you be 100% assured that you would go to heaven?

Everyday Healthy Tips to Sustain a Healthy Lifestyle

Gone are the days when you were lined up with your siblings to have a spoonful of Grandmas favourite tonic. Many people still cringe at the though of Lanes emulsion, cold liver oil, maltexo or Epsom salts - But they sure played a major role in preventative medicine. I believe these "Tonics" are desperately missing in our homes today, so here's a few of my favourites that can be used for all kinds of health ailments.

All homes should have Tea Tree or Manuka oil in their cupboard - a First aid kit in a bottle. Tea tree oil is drying on the skin (making it idea for pimples), where Manuka is oily. They both possess powerful anti bacterial, anti fungal & anti septic activity, with Manuka said to be 20 times stronger than Tea Tree. The uses of these are extensive and can be applied, diluted in a carrier oil (almond, apricot or even olive) to most skin ailments. Ideal for sores, scrapes, abrasions, ringworm, tinea, head lice, acne, gum problems & dandruff or try vaporising it in a burner for helping with colds, sinus & bronchial congestion.

Apple Cider Vinegar is a must for all - but especially those with poor digestion. If you feel sluggish or uncomfortable after eating, then try mixing 1 tablespoon full, of a good quality Apple Cider Vinegar, in approx. 100ml of water and drink this before eating. The difference can be dramatic & instantaneous.

UMF (Unique Manuka Factor) refers to the antibacterial property of some New Zealand Manuka Honey. These range between 5-18, with a UMF of 18 being ideal for use on external skin infections, such as ulcers. Tests have shown that UMF honey can help the body's normal immune response clear wounds of infection, when used as an ointment. No matter how large or small, just adjust the dressing size & amount of UMF honey used. I have seen it clear infection from the nastiest looking wounds & ulcers, to a cut that's "gone a bit red & puffy". But remember, if it doesn't state the honeys UMF value, it's probably because it doesn't have one. Great for those with stomach ulcers too.

If you wake up in the morning and don't feel refreshed from your sleep (even though you had a good nights sleep) your liver may be struggling to keep up with its role of "Chemical Laboratory". Our liver gets constantly bombarded with all kinds of toxins every day - including things like herbicides & sprays on foods, medication & preservatives, not forgetting the pollution we breath every day. Start the day with ½ a lemon squeezed in water & ensure you drink this as soon as you get up in the morning. This will help to get your liver into action for the day & it definitely helps to clear that foggy feeling. To further help your liver, try Dandelion coffee - a delicious drink that really does taste similar to coffee. Other symptoms that can relate to poor liver function are skin problems, frontal headaches, digestive disturbances & a general feeling of fatigue or sluggishness.

If I could choose only 1 herb to help with my overall health I would have to pick Garlic. Sure, the smell on your breath is strong to those you meet who haven't had their fair share for the day, but the large amount of health problems it helps with make it an ideal choice. Garlic has been shown to be effective in helping fight against bacteria, viruses, fungus and parasites. I believe it is an excellent winter preventative, which can be taken in many different forms. Try making a Garlic Tonic, where you peel & mince 2 garlic cloves. Cover with 2 cups of water and boil for 3 minutes. Take as a daily tonic. Make garlic butter, add minced garlic to tomato juice or dressings or simply chew and swallow. One study, with regard to recovery and on prevention against loss of stamina and the early onset of fatigue, found that Garlic far outdid the recovery and preventative effects of Glucose, Ginseng and 6 other food and drug items commonly used to restore energy, produce alertness, give vigour or provide stamina.

A Good Lifestyle is the Key to Staying Younger

When you hear the term "Completely healthy", what comes to your mind? Do you instantly think of all those people who exercise daily and are slim and trim? Completely healthy does not only mean being physically fit but mentally as well.

Have you ever heard about the Hunza tribe? The legendary Hunza tribe stays in the Himalayan range between India, Pakistan and China. These people are famed to live up to a ripe age of even 130 years. It is also found that the Hunzas never fall ill. The Hunzas get up at around five in the morning and go for long walks and hikes; they eat two meals a day, one at midday and the other at night. Their vitality and longevity has been attributed to the special bread that they eat with every meal. The good lifestyle lead by the Hunzas is the key to their being healthy and attaining longevity.

Beware couch potatoes; to lead a healthy life a good lifestyle is required. A good lifestyle comprises of the following-
1. Sticking to a nutritious, well balanced diet comprising of fresh fruits, green vegetables, whole grains and little quantities of meat. A lot of water should be had as it flushes out toxins and helps fat reduction. It also helps clear your skin and skin problems.

2. Exercise is a must, it could be working out in the gym or if you don't like to visit the gym, you could go out for a brisk walk daily. Convince a friend to walk with you or if you have a dog, take him out. Carry your I-pod along; listening to music is a great way to enjoy your walk. Yoga with a couple of abdominal crunches at home is another form of exercise. If you like dancing, then join a dance class and be ready to sweat it out.

3. In order to become completely healthy the third and most important factor is to be mentally fit and at peace. Meditation and yoga are the perfect for keeping body and mind fit, 15-20 minutes of meditation each morning is the perfect way to start your day. Have you ever self analyzed yourself and your actions? Take out 15 minutes each day to sit down and think what all you experienced during the day, which have you hurt knowingly or unknowingly and write about your feelings into your personal diary.

Thinking positive is a must, try to think positive about everything and world will look like a better place to you. It is said that if you think positive then everything turns out as you want it to be. Pray everyday; thank the almighty for everything you have.

Enjoy the greenery around you, the chirpy birds, the sunshine, the river by your house, the smile on the faces of children playing in the park. Everyday you will find something to be happy and grateful about.

Doing all these things will make us not only completely healthy but happy too.

The Dangers of an Eating Out, Fast Food Lifestyle - Homemade Foods Will Save Your Life!

Could you really say that your last meal was nutritionally balanced? Did it provide your body with an assortment of the vitamins, minerals, protein, carbohydrates and fats it needs to function properly? Was there any fresh fruit or vegetables with it or did they come out of a packet, tin or the freezer? The question to really consider is, "Was it the kind of meal your grandmother would have made?

According to a recent AC Nielsen Online survey, consumers the world over reported they simply do not have the time to prepare meals from scratch. Consumers in 41 countries were asked whether they had too much, enough or too little of time, information, energy, space or money to prepare meals from scratch. Just over 56% said they didn't have enough time. Beyond convenience, one third cited cheaper than buying all the ingredients and preparing from scratch as their reason for purchasing ready to eat meals.

But what value do we place on our health? Do you really know what went into the preparation of the food you purchased and does it contain ingredients which are nutritionally beneficial for your body?

How many times have you gone out, purchased food and within hours after eating it started to feel heavy in the head &/or a bit sick in the stomach? We put so much trust in the person who prepared the food; that they had good hygiene and food handling skills. What had they being doing before they made your food?

Food poisoning is commonly experienced in those who eat out frequently, with the study "Food Safety and the New Zealand Public" showing just over 2 in 10 respondents experienced food poisoning over the last two years; with most of these (83%) occurring outside the home. Around half of those surveyed declared that they had observed poor food safety practices in outlets over the last two years. 83% of respondents expressed concern about chicken, 78% for shellfish and 76% for food displayed in warming ovens such as pies.

As a naturopath I frequently see people who are suffering with health problems relating to something bad they have ingested. Some have returned from a trip to the islands or Asia, but there are also those who have eaten out recently and experienced a case of food poisoning. Not only can you have the common digestive problems such as diarrhoea and abdominal pain, but many people also experience joint and muscular pain, fatigue, headaches, fever, skin and hair problems, as well as low levels of nutrients, such as B vitamins and iron.

If you have eaten something bad and you have vomiting &/or diarrhea, seek professional advice, as dehydration is a common problem experienced with food poisoning. Some cases of food poisoning are notifiable; so to help prevent other people experiencing the same problem as you, make sure you report all incidences. If you do eat or drink something bad, consider Activated Charcoal. The binding ability of charcoal has been known for centuries, with the story of a prominent French chemist in 1813 who drank 150 times the normal lethal dose of arsenic without ill effect. His secret? He had mixed the arsenic with charcoal. Charcoal was used in gas masks in WWI and is still used today in protective masks and suits against hazardous chemicals, nerve gas and other biological toxins. Each particle contains many small chambers and cavities that capture or bind up unwanted materials and gas. This can be taken in a capsule and is a valuable addition to the medicine cabinet or travel bag. Taking a probiotic supplement, such as Reuteri or Inner Health Plus is vital with food poisoning, as these friendly bacteria have been found to populate the bowel quickly, helping to relieve some of the symptoms experienced with food poisoning in hours. Aloe vera juice can also help to relieve gastric distress and is well worth considering with digestive problems.

But does it really take that long to prepare a meal from scratch? Do we really not have the time to make proper meals or are there other reasons why we eat out so much?

Recent figures from March 2007 show sales of burgers, fish and chips, pies, ice cream, pizza and ethnic food have risen 88% since 2002, a huge difference from 1995-2002, when figures remained relatively flat. Statistics New Zealand tell us that in January of this year, takeaway food sales were $103 million (can you believe this!)

New Zealanders have been ranked 17th in a list of the worlds most obese people - fatter than Australians, Britons, Canadians and Fijians and gaining on Americans. Overall, 68% of New Zealanders are classed as Obese by the world health organization. Child obesity has trebled in the past decade, with 1 in 3 now overweight or obese. Obese children mean obese adults. This is a problem for many reason, as obesity is associated with heart disease, diabetes, stroke, high blood pressure and some cancers.

Maintaining a balanced body weight is vitally important for growing children. A child's diet may determine whether she develops breast cancer in later life, according to expert Professor Paul Kleihues from the World Health Organisation. The disease - the number one killer among women aged 35-54 years - could be triggered early in life by an unhealthy diet of fast food, Professor Kleihues has warned. He said parents should avoid offering high fat, low fiber diets full of processed food, dairy products and meat. He warned: "Thirty per cent of tumors in breast, prostate and colon cancer are associated with poor nutrition".

Australian and New Zealand studies over the last 10 years, on food advertising during children's television viewing times, found that on average there are 26 ads per hour and of these Food ads comprise approximately 34% of all ads or 8 ads per hour. On average, 72% of ads promote non-nutritious foods, and ads for chocolate, confectionary, fast food restaurants and sweetened breakfast cereals tend to top the list. In addition, the study found that confectionary and fast food restaurant ads are broadcast heavily during the pre and post dinner period, 5-8pm and that these are broadcast up to three times more heavily during children's programs than adult programs. Recent studies show that this kind of advertising works, as children from families with high TV use during meals consume more of the highly advertised "unhealthy foods" (pizza, salty snack, soft drinks) and less fruit and vegetables.

What about Morgan Spurlock, the American documentary film director, known for the documentary film Super Size Me, in which he attempted to demonstrate the negative health effects of McDonald's food by eating nothing but McDonalds three times a day, every day, for one month. At the end of 1 month his cholesterol, blood pressure and body fat levels increased dramatically and he complained of an empty unsatisfied feeling, probably due to a lack of essential nutrients.

Experts tell us that the Mediterranean diet is an ideal model to follow. There are many variations of this, but the common Mediterranean dietary pattern has these characteristics:

• high consumption of fruits, vegetables, bread and other cereals, potatoes, beans, nuts and seeds
• olive oil is an important monounsaturated fat source (choose organic extra virgin)
• dairy products, fish and poultry are consumed in low to moderate amounts, and little red meat is eaten
• eggs are consumed zero to four times a week
• wine is consumed in low to moderate amounts (red wine)

People who follow the average Mediterranean diet eat less saturated fat than those who eat an average kiwi diet. In fact, saturated fat consumption is well within the Heart Foundations Nutritional guidelines. More than half the fat calories in a Mediterranean diet come from monounsaturated fats (mainly from olive oil). Monounsaturated fat doesn't raise blood cholesterol levels the way saturated fat does.

The most important consideration for making easy, nutritious meals, is to think ahead so you can be prepared and have the ingredients you need to throw something yummy together. Most chefs would agree that the secret to a great meal is to keep it simple.

Dinner should contain some kind of protein such as fish, seafood or some other kind of meat. This can be purchased on the day, or individual servings could be retrieved from the deep freeze. A salad can be simply made, buy tossing mesculin or other salad greens with vinegar and olive oil. Chopped tomatoes, capsicum and cucumber are excellent additions, as is a handful of lightly toasted pine nuts or some tamari roasted seeds.

Planter boxes can be positioned around the house, with herbs such as rocket, basil, parsley and chives and vegetables such as tomatoes, capsicum and lettuce being easy to grow in this way. It is so relaxing to come home in the evening and seeing how my latest plants are coming along, thinking how I can incorporate them into my daily meals.

Lifestyle and Breast Cancer

Although all of the genetic and environmental factors are important to consider, the overwhelming evidence is that breast cancer is related to lifestyle. The following paragraphs outline the negative impact and positive impact on breast malignancy of several common lifestyle related issues.

Post-menopausal Obesity Increases Risk: Despite the evidence on the protective effect of pre-menopausal obesity on pre-menopausal breast cancer, the evidence that obesity increases the risk of post-menopausal breast neoplasm is very clear and not debatable. Some have suggested that tumors are harder to find by physical exam and mammography in obese women. This theory has largely been disproved in studies looking at mammography sensitivity and specificity, as well as studies looking at breast exam diagnosis in obese patients. If the correlation between obesity and cancer mortality is entirely causal, some scientists even estimate that an overweight condition and/or obesity now may account for one in seven of cancer deaths in men and one in five in women in the US.

High Fat Diet: Although breast cancer publications and the media have promulgated the idea that a low fat diet reduces cancer risk, most clinical trials have not successfully demonstrated this direct beneficial effect. There have been several methodological explanations for this failure. However, the reverse observation that a high fat diet increases breast tumor risk remains solid. For example, a large study funded by the National Institute of Health looked at 188,736 postmenopausal women and fat intake, based on both "food frequency questionnaires" and "24-hour dietary recall questionnaires". With the food frequency questionnaires, researchers found that women who got 40% of their calories from fat had about a 15% increased risk of developing breast cancer compared with women who got 20% of their calories from fat. With the "24-hour dietary recall questionaire", they found a 32% increased risk of breast malignancy among women with a high level of fat in their diet.

Alcohol: Based on scientific evidence, exposure to alcohol is associated with increased breast cancer risk in a dose-dependent fashion. Even less than one drink/day on a daily basis can be associated with up to a 30% increase in breast tumor mortality among postmenopausal women compared to non-drinkers. The risk may increase by 7% for each drink per day. Studies have shown that stopping alcohol use may reverse this risk.

Exercise: Exercise has been consistently linked with reduced breast cancer risk. A regimen of approximately 30 minutes per day of moderate-intensity exercise should be adequate, and perhaps even one to two hours per week is enough to be helpful. It appears that longer duration and greater intensity of activity may bring even more health benefits.

Supplements: Americans spend billions of dollars on vitamins and mineral supplements. Recent large studies, however, have demonstrated that these pills and capsules do not decrease the risk of many types of cancer. One explanation is that as long as one is not deficient of any particular vitamin or mineral, ingestion of super-normal levels of supplements does not help. Many women have low levels of vitamin D, and some data have shown that increasing its level (whether in a pill or by sun exposure) can protect somewhat against future breast cancer. In our opinion, botanical dietary supplements derived from green tea extracts represent a potentially widely available method for reducing the risk of breast neoplasm. Next to water, tea is the most widely consumed beverage in the world, and its ingestion in reasonable doses is considered safe. Many population observation reports have shown that green tea may decrease the risk of breast malignancy.

Are You Living a Balanced Lifestyle?

You are what you eat? What a cliché. How about saying it in the more literal sense. "Your health will reflect back onto what you eat"? In fact a persons lifestyle will reflect back on them in every aspect of their life. The ideal standard for good health is a balanced lifestyle. Are you living a balanced lifestyle, physically, mentally, and spiritually? Here is how to tell.

Physical Lifestyle

Do you wake up in the morning feeling refreshed and well rested? Are you within your weight by ten pounds? Do you do a physical activity at least once a day to get your heart rate pumping? Perhaps you do one of these. Walk briskly for one hour, exercise or calisthenics, about 45 minutes, sport of your choice, or light aerobic exercise? The body needs physical exercise of some kind once a day. If you work at a desk job you should get up every hour and do some stretches to get the blood flowing. When you get home, take a walk or do some light aerobic exercise.

Do you eat at least four servings of raw fruits or vegetables in one day? Health-wise you should eat at least four servings of raw food a day. Most nutritionists say that eating a variety of colorful fruits and vegetables ensures you are receiving your daily intake of nutrients your body needs to stay healthy. An example of this is to eat a red apple with your breakfast, a green salad for lunch, a yellow orange for snack, and a purple cabbage slaw with dinner. You get the idea, right?

Emotional / Mental Lifestyle

Emotionally the balanced person does not feel in lack or in need for anything, even if they don't have much. Having stuff is not where happiness lies. Stuff is great to have, no doubt about it, but if we are living our life, just going to work everyday so we can have more stuff that we really don't need, there is an imbalance in our life. Besides work what else do you do? Do you have a hobby or other activity that you partake in?

Some people are mentally and emotionally sick because of past baggage. Perhaps they had an alcoholic parent, or perhaps they felt unloved and abandoned as a child. Whatever it is, you have to move on! Don't keep bringing up a traumatic past when you have your future in front of you! That's not right. Resolve your baggage and heal thyself. Live for today!

Mentally the balanced person feels good about who they are. They are generally have good relationships with others. Having good mental health does not mean you won't ever have negative feelings, but that you won't let your negative feelings to control you and your behavior. It's normal to feel our emotions - that's not what I'm talking about here. If a person is still dredging up the past from months or years ago, something is not mentally balanced within that person. If we have a negative past we have to resolve it and heal. Life is going to have its stresses and challenges. The mentally healthy face their challenges and resolve them instead of lingering in them.

Spiritual Lifestyle

Co-dependence, addictions, negative feelings, and inadequate relationship skills are because we are too dependent on how the world moves rather than on how God moves. We are too absorbed with the physical elements of our life rather than the spiritual. Where is the balance in that?

I'm not talking about organized religion here. Organized religion is for those people who like to have a guide helping them along the way towards whatever things spiritual they are seeking. Church is a great place to meet like-minded people but church can also stunt your growth. Church leaders are only seed planters, if even that. Once the seed is in your heart and in your mind only your relationship with your Creator will make the seed grow.

I (Paul) planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who makes things grow.

(1 Corinthians 3:6,7)

When someone is new at accepting Christ, by all means they should "go to church" and learn the basic concepts about God and how God works in their life. But eventually that person has to grow and mature spiritually "in the Lord" and going to church is not where that is. Your relationship with God, through your prayers, thoughts, actions, and lifestyle is church! Church is in your heart and mind wherever you may be, and whenever you want it to be. Your spirituality is what you make it to be.

Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshippers the Father seeks. God is spirit and his worshippers must worship in spirit and in truth. (John 423,24)

Your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health is a precious commodity. Your body and mind is aging every day. That means you're not getting any younger. All areas of your health will decline faster if you don't take care of your health now! You can be in control of your health, if you take control.

A Great Lifestyle Change

I suppose most of us could benefit from a great lifestyle change. There are not many people living the perfect lifestyle especially in the west. By the west I mean societies other than some of the so called third world societies who live a bare subsistence and don't live a good lifestyle primarily because of financial restraints.

So if you have reached the point in life where you realize that your lifestyle leaves something to be desired and you want to change it what do you change it to. Most of us live a busy lifestyle trying to fit family in between other commitments and eating far less than the best options. Mostly because the best options involve some extra work and time whereas a quick take a way meal or TV dinner fits our busy lifestyle.

We can see that to make a dedicated change to our lifestyle is going to be a major undertaking and not to be looked at lightly. We know the best foods for us are those that we prepare ourselves at home and from fresh ingredients. However, fresh is hardly a commodity now in city living. By the time fresh produce is harvested and processed and trucked and cold stored and finally makes itself available in our supermarkets it is far from fresh.

Many of us are fast realising this fact and are taking the time to search out real fresh produce from local markets, local growers and organic suppliers. Some of these options will cost more of course but are necessary if we want to eat a little bit healthier. An other option of course is for us to grow our own veggies at home.

This used to be the normal way of life for most people but has become out of fashion although there is a return to the many benefits of home gardening. It sounds like hard work you may ask but it does not have to be as there are some simple gardening methods where there is little work involved. Take the no dig method for example. If you grow veggies in raised garden beds under straw there is little to be done apart from buying and planting the seedlings, water now and then and harvest your fresh produce when you need it. Apartment dwellers can do the same exercise in pots or tubs.

Do a Google search on no dig gardening for all the details. You will surprised how easy it is. Imagine harvesting your own fresh produce and eating them the same day. Can't get any fresher than that and of course you are in control of what gets sprayed on the plants. I remember once visiting a vegetable farm that was growing commercial cauliflowers. Just before harvest time something was sprayed on them to produce a whiter head. The over spray killed the grass next door. Lovely.

So there you have a really practical option to produce a great lifestyle change. Grow your own. The benefits go much further than just fresh veggies. If you have never done it you will find that gardening is one of the great satisfying pass times relieving much stress from a busy lifestyle. There is a great deal of satisfaction to be had from growing stuff in your own garden. The whole family can be involved. Imagine how much easier it would be to get the kids to eat their veggies if they had input into the growing and harvesting of them.

So combine a great lifestyle change with a new diet and you are on the way to a happier, healthier and longer life. Think about it. It may be just what you need.
